Data protection
Privacy Policy
Protecting your privacy is particularly important to tecis. This naturally also applies to the handling of your data when you visit our website. The following statement explains how tecis handles personal data, what information is collected and analysed, and how this information is used and managed.
Anonymity and Automatically Collected Information
In principle, you can access our website without providing any personal information. To safeguard the legitimate interests of tecis as the operator of the tecis websites pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, in particular to ensure IT security, to defend against potential attacks, to assess the appeal of the websites and to optimise their content, your visit to the tecis websites is logged. For this purpose, the following access data is recorded:
the IP address currently used by your device, in anonymised form,
name of the page accessed,
date and time of access,
volume of data transferred,
notification of whether the access was successful,
description of the type of web browser used,
operating system used,
number of visits,
average time spent on the site.
As a rule, we are unable to link this data to a specific individual, so no personal user profiles can be derived from it.
The data is processed within the European Union and Switzerland and, depending on your browser settings, possibly in the United States.
Processing of Personal Data
If you choose to enter personal data such as your name, address, telephone number or email address, for example via the contact form, you consent – by ticking the data protection consent box and clicking "Submit now" – to our processing the data provided to us, within the limits permitted by law, for the intended purpose, e.g. to process your enquiry, send information material, publish comments or handle newsletter subscriptions.
You may withdraw this consent at any time with effect for the future. Your withdrawal may be sent in text form (e.g. letter, fax, email) to melvin.fenselau@tecis.de, or by post to Melvin Fenselau, Westfälische Str. 27, 10709 Berlin, Germany.
Data collected via the contact form is subject to extensive security measures designed to prevent unauthorised access and misuse and to protect against destruction or loss of data. Data is transmitted using SSL encryption of up to 256 bits. Standard browsers support this SSL protocol.
Your Rights
You have the right to obtain information free of charge at any time about the personal data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR). In addition, under certain conditions you are entitled to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR) or erasure (Art. 17 GDPR) of the data stored about you, as well as the right to receive the data you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format (Art. 20 GDPR). In the event of a problem, you may lodge a complaint with the data protection officer or a data protection supervisory authority.
Cookies
A cookie is a small data packet (text file) that your browser stores on your device at the instruction of a website you visit, in order to "remember" information about you, such as your language settings or login details. Cookies set by us are referred to as first-party cookies. We also use third-party cookies, which originate from a domain other than that of the website you are visiting. We use these cookies to support our advertising and marketing activities. In particular, we use cookies and other tracking technologies for the following purposes:
Strictly Necessary
These cookies are required for the website to function and cannot be disabled in our systems. They are usually only set in response to actions you take that amount to a request for services, such as setting your privacy preferences, logging in or filling in forms. You can set your browser to block these cookies or to notify you about them; however, some parts of the website will then not work. These cookies do not store any personal data.
Statistics
These cookies allow us to count visits and traffic sources so that we can measure and improve the performance of our website. They help us understand which pages are the most and least popular and how visitors navigate the website. All information collected by these cookies is aggregated and therefore anonymous. If you allow performance cookies, we can use this aggregated information to improve our offering and the usability of our website for you.
Marketing
These cookies may be set through our website by our advertising partners. They may be used by these companies to build a profile of your interests and show you relevant advertisements on other websites. They do not store personal data directly, but are based on uniquely identifying your browser and internet device. These cookies are used to display personalised content tailored to your interests, enabling us to present offers that are particularly relevant to you.
Meta Pixel
Facebook users should note that this website uses Facebook's Website Custom Audiences communication tool. For this purpose, Meta Pixels are integrated into our websites, which mark you as a visitor to our website in anonymised form, i.e. without identifying you personally. If you subsequently log in to Facebook, a non-reversible and therefore non-personal checksum (profile) derived from your usage data is transmitted to Facebook for analysis and marketing purposes. For further information on the purpose and scope of data collection, the further processing and use of data by Facebook, and your settings options for protecting your privacy, please refer to Facebook's privacy policies, available at https://www.facebook.com/ads/website_custom_audiences/ and https://www.facebook.com/privacy/explanation, among others. If you wish to object to the use of Facebook Website Custom Audiences, you can do so at https://www.facebook.com/ads/website_custom_audiences/.
LinkedIn
Our website uses the LinkedIn Insight Tag (LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland; website: https://www.linkedin.com; privacy policy: https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy). The Insight Tag is used for conversion tracking. If you reach our website via LinkedIn (e.g. through an advertisement), LinkedIn can trace this using the Insight Tag. In addition to conversion tracking, this also enables retargeting via LinkedIn's advertising platform. The LinkedIn Insight Tag creates a cookie in your web browser that enables the collection of data including: IP address, device and browser properties, page events (e.g. page views), timestamps and LinkedIn demographic data if the user is an active LinkedIn member. This data is encrypted, anonymised within seven days, and the anonymised data is deleted within 90 days. LinkedIn offers a cross-website opt-out option: https://www.linkedin.com/psettings/guest-controls/retargeting-opt-out.
Google Maps
Our website uses Google Maps (API) provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland ("Google"). Google Maps is a web service for displaying interactive maps to present geographical information visually. Using this service, the relevant location is displayed to you.
As soon as you access the "Find your adviser" subpage in which the Google Maps map is embedded, information about your use of our website (such as your IP address) is transmitted to and stored on Google servers; this may also involve a transfer to the servers of Google LLC in the United States. This occurs regardless of whether Google provides a user account through which you are logged in or whether you have a user account at all. If you are logged in to Google, your data will be directly associated with your account. If you do not wish your data to be associated with your Google profile, you must log out before using the "Find your adviser" page. Google stores your data (even for users who are not logged in) as usage profiles and analyses them. The collection, storage and analysis are carried out pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR on the basis of Google's legitimate interest in displaying personalised advertising, conducting market research and/or designing Google websites to meet user needs. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles; to exercise this right, you must contact Google.
Google's Terms of Service are available at https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/terms/regional.html, and the additional Terms of Service for Google Maps can be found at https://www.google.com/intl/de_US/help/terms_maps.html.
Detailed information on data protection in connection with the use of Google Maps can be found on Google's website ("Google Privacy Policy"): https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/
